River City Consulting (RCC) a Decatur Alabama based operation, is a Woman Owned Small Business established to provide quality and effective Environmental, Health, Safety and Industrial Hygiene Services.
River City Consulting was founded upon the bases of developing and maintaining a safety culture to instill the qualities that motivate both employees and employers to strive in achieving excellence.
Our Staff
Tami Bray, Owner Senior Safety Specialist / Industrial Hygienist & Project Manager Tami Bray is a seasoned Safety Professional with over twenty seven years of experience in the field of Environmental, Health, Safety and Industrial Hygiene. She earned both her Bachelor of Science and her Master of Science from Jacksonville State University. Tami attended the University of North Alabama for Industrial Hygiene courses and Athens State University for Teacher Certification for upper level Science. She is a lifelong learner. She was the EHS Coordinator and onsite Industrial Hygienist for Cargill in Decatur, AL for over 18 years. As the onsite Industrial Hygienist she was responsible for the development and set up of the entire program, to include on site audiometric testing and both area and individual noise surveys, respirator fit testing, pulmonary function testing, various air sampling projects, plus training and development. Her duties also included Contractor Safety Specialist, plant and safety site inspections and audits, as well as an array of other duties. After the closing of the Cargill Plant, Tami had a great desire to continue work in her field and to assist small to medium sized companies in the local area with their EHS and Industrial Hygiene needs. |

William V. Turkus, Senior Safety Specialist / Engineer & Project Manager William V. Turkus is a seasoned Safety Professional and a Mechanical Engineer with over forty years of experience. Bill obtained his Mechanical Engineering Degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He has held positions both in the Engineering field as well as in the EHS field. He has a wide range of experience. This experience includes virtually all disciplines of EHS, i.e. hazardous material permitting, hazmat recycling, program development (safe operation, lockout/tagout, equipment evaluation, work instructions, etc.) and employee training. Bill also has extensive experience in machine design engineering, manufacture and installation. He is skilled in all aspects of metal removal machining, manufacturing welding, protectorate application and assembly. Bill has implemented Lean Training, ISO Certifications and been instrumental in the development of Total Preventive Maintenance Programs, EHS Program Compliance as well as many other responsibilities throughout his long career. |

Brad Murphy, Senior Safety Specialist & Industrial Hygienist Brad has worked with River City Consulting for many years as a Senior Safety Specialist-Industrial Hygienist . He graduated from the University of North Alabama's, ABET accredited, Chemistry/Industrial Hygiene program. As a part of the River City Team, Brad conducts and assists with various Industrial Hygiene sampling and consulting projects. He has been involved with developing Chemical Matrixes, Working with and updating Safety Data Sheets, Training, Confined Space Audits and Evaluations; LOTO Audits and Evaluations, Ergonomics, Employee Safety Committees, Asbestos Abatement, Hearing Conservation, Machine Guarding, Environmental and a host of other duties. |

Michael Bray, Senior Safety Specialist Michael has worked for River City Consulting for the last five years. He is a recent graduate from Athens State University with a degree in Criminal Justice and Public Safety. He completed an internship with the City of Decatur, Police Department, as well as with Tab Bowling, the current Mayor of Decatur, AL. Michael assists in the development and administration of occupational and safety health programs and work procedures, assists in preparation and distribution of educational materials and information, conducts research on OSHA regulations and compliance, assists in data entry for training programs as well as in Industrial Hygiene Testing and sampling strategies, in addition to many other assigned duties. Michael is currently working on completing the OSHA 10-hour general industry course, as well as the OSHA 10-hour construction course. Michael is a Safety Specialist assisting in all aspects of the business. |

Tony Lambert, Senior Safety Specialist Tony is currently a Georgia Police Officer, certified through the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (POST). He is also a former Alabama Police Officer certified through the Northeast Alabama Law Enforcement Academy (NEALEA). He currently serves as an infantryman in the Alabama Army National Guard. He has training in active shooter scenarios as well as Combat Life Saver (CLS) through law enforcement and the military. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Political Science with the University of West Georgia and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) with Jacksonville State University. He has completed the OSHA 10-hour general industry course, 10-hour-construction course, the OSHA Industrial Hygiene course, in addition to many more. Tony began working with River City Consulting in the Summer of 2017 as a Safety Professional/Industrial Hygienist. He brings a wealth of experience to the position. |

Luke Christensen, Safety Specialist & Industrial Hygienist Luke began working with River City Consulting in 2020, as a Safety Specialist-Industrial Hygienist . He graduated from the University of North Alabama's, ABET accredited, Chemistry/Industrial Hygiene program. As a part of the River City Team, Luke conducts and assists with various Industrial Hygiene sampling and consulting projects. He has been involved with developing Chemical Matrixes, Working with and updating Safety Data Sheets, Training, Confined Space Audits and Evaluations; LOTO Audits and Evaluations, and a host of other duties. He has a passion for making each facility as safe and healthy as possible, like a home away from home. |

Ashtan Hicks McClung, Safety Specialist & Industrial Hygienist Ashtan began working with River City Consulting in 2019, as a Safety Specialist-Industrial Hygienist. She graduated from the University of North Alabama's, ABET accredited, Chemistry/Industrial Hygiene program. As a part of the River City Team, Ashtan conducts and assists with various Industrial Hygiene sampling and consulting projects. She has been involved with developing Chemical Matrixes, Working with and updating Safety Data Sheets, Training, Confined Space Audits and Evaluations; LOTO Audits and Evaluations. Ashtan assists in the development and administration of occupational and safety health programs and work procedures, assists in preparation and distribution of educational materials and information, conducts research on OSHA regulations and compliance, assists in data entry for training programs, as well as many other duties. Ashtan is newly married and enjoys spending time with her husband. |

Ashley Griffin, Safety Specialist Ashley began working with River City in 2020 as a Safety Specialist. She graduated from the University of West Georgia with a degree in Social Sciences. She has worked to obtain her OSHA 30 in General Industry. Ashley assists in the development and administration of occupational and safety health programs and work procedures, assists in preparation and distribution of educational materials and information, conducts research on OSHA regulations and compliance, assists in data entry for training programs, as well as many other duties. |

Kinleigh Clanton, Safety Specialist / Industrial Hygienist Kinleigh began working with River City Consulting in 2021, as a Safety Specialist-Industrial Hygienist . She graduated from the University of North Alabama's, ABET accredited, Chemistry/Industrial Hygiene program. She has completed internships in manufacturing focusing both on Continuous Improvement and Environmental, Health, and Safety at ADTRAN and South Wire. As a part of the River City Team, Kinleigh conducts and assists with various Industrial Hygiene sampling and consulting projects. She has been involved with developing Chemical Matrixes, Working with and updating Safety Data Sheets, Training, Confined Space Audits and Evaluations; LOTO Audits and Evaluations. Kinleigh assists in the development and administration of occupational and safety health programs and work procedures, assists in preparation and distribution of educational materials and information, conducts research on OSHA regulations and compliance, assists in data entry for training programs, as well as many other duties. Kinleigh is currently working for River City Consulting as a Safety Specialist, placed in Hartselle, AL at Cerrowire. |

Our Interns
Savannah Bray Zeigler Savannah has worked for River City Consulting for the last five years. She is a graduate of Auburn's School of Nursing working in the NICU in Birmingham, AL. Under the direction of a Safety Professional, Savannah assists in the development and administration of occupational and safety health programs and work procedures, assists in preparation and distribution of educational materials and information, conducts research on OSHA regulations and compliance, assists in data entry for training programs, as well as many other duties. She has assisted in many aspects of the business and is an invaluable asset. |
